Welcome to Our African Farm
Our African Farm connects people who want to support African agriculture with women who are ready to build serious farming and agri-businesses.
We fund real farms.
We support real businesses.
We grow, process, and sell real products.
Across Africa, many women run small farms and food businesses with strong potential. They have the land, the knowledge, and the determination. What they often lack is access to capital to grow beyond a small scale.
That is where you come in.
By contributing funds through Our African Farm, you help finance:
Land preparation
Quality seeds and fertiliser
Labour and farm management
Harvesting and sales
Agri-businesses that process and sell products made from crops
This includes businesses that turn crops into packaged food products, animal feed, oils, flour, and other value-added goods ready for market.
Our agricultural and business team oversees the full process — from planting to processing to selling — ensuring each project is properly managed and commercially focused.
When crops and products are sold, profits are shared according to each person’s contribution.
This is a practical way to:
Support women-led farming and agri-businesses
Increase food production and local processing in Africa
Invest in structured, managed agricultural projects
Share in the financial results of each season
This is ideal for you if you wish to back sustainable farming, champion women entrepreneurs, and take part in building agricultural initiatives that strengthen communities and shape Africa’s future.
Sponsor a farm. Support an agri-business. Share the growth.

Why Africa
Africa holds 60% of the world’s uncultivated arable land. It is home to some of the fastest-growing economies and the youngest, most dynamic workforce on the planet. Agriculture is not just an industry here — it is the backbone of livelihoods, communities, and national development.
Yet despite its vast potential, much of Africa’s agricultural capacity remains underdeveloped. Limited access to structured investment, modern farming methods, and scalable funding models means high-value opportunities often go unrealised. With the right capital, partnerships, and oversight, this gap becomes one of the most compelling investment frontiers in the world.
Demand for food is rising rapidly — both within Africa and globally. Population growth, urbanisation, and expanding regional trade create strong long-term market fundamental for agricultural production. Investing in African agriculture is not simply about meeting today’s needs; it is about securing tomorrow’s food systems while generating sustainable returns.
At Our African Farm, we see Africa not as a challenge, but as an opportunity — rich in land, talent, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit. When investment meets potential, growth follows.
Why Women - led
We support women-led agriculture and agribusiness because women are already at the heart of food production across Africa. In many regions, women make up a large part of the agricultural workforce — growing crops, managing farms, processing food, and supplying local markets. Yet despite their experience and contribution, they often have the least access to land ownership, finance, equipment, and commercial networks. This limits the size and profitability of their businesses.
When women gain access to capital and structured support, the results are clear. Farms expand. Productivity increases. Food supply improves. Profits are reinvested into families and local communities — supporting education, healthcare, and job creation. Women-led agribusinesses are also more likely to create employment for other women, multiplying the economic impact.
By supporting women-led farming and agri-processing businesses, we are not just funding crops — we are strengthening local economies from the ground up. It is a practical, commercially sound approach that combines agricultural production with long-term community development.
How It Works

Our experienced agricultural team works closely with the women we support, overseeing every stage of the farming process — from land preparation and planting to crop management and harvesting — ensuring strong, sustainable yields.Harvest & Sell
Once the crops are ready, they are harvested and sold in carefully selected local and regional markets, securing competitive prices and stable income for the farming businesses.Share the Success
After the crops are sold, returns are shared among sponsors according to the agreed structure — creating both financial reward and meaningful social impact through food security, job creation, and women’s economic empowerment.

Example Project Returns — Maize in Ghana
Total Sponsorship Required:
To prepare the land, purchase seeds and fertilisers, hire labour, and manage the crop through to maturity, the total cost for this farm season is $50,000.
Estimated Yield:
With effective management and good growing conditions, the farm can produce approximately 2,000 bags of maize (each bag 90 kg), which equals around 180 metric tons of maize.
Market Value:
In Ghana, maize prices currently vary but wholesale and farmgate prices typically fall in a range that works out to around $0.40 – $0.70 per kilogram at farm level (based on local market data).
Using a conservative average of $0.45 per kilogram, this means the total harvest could generate about $81,000 in revenue.
Net Profit:
After covering all operational costs, including labour, inputs, transport and processing, the net profit for the season is projected at around $25,000.
Sponsor Returns:
Profits are then shared among sponsors based on their contribution. For example, a sponsor who contributes $5,000 toward the project could receive approximately $7,500 back at the end of the season — a return of about 50% on their commitment, while directly supporting women-led agricultural growth.
Note: These figures are illustrative and based on current average maize market prices in Ghana Feb 2026 which can vary by location and season.
